A little cold this morning. No bears attacked the campground overnight. The electric fence is doing its job.

A very nice couple, Jack and Tina Schut from Paris, Ontario in the next campsite, invited me over for a glass of wine.

Morning coffee in Lake Louise.

Start the day with great views

More open valleys but still beautiful mountains.

Rivers, trains and mountains

Castle Mountain

An overpass for wildlife.

Clouding over. Got a small shower while on the road.
By the time I stopped to put on my rain jacket, it stopped.

Elk on the side of the road

Arrive Canmore

Once I was set up in my tent I gave Drew and Donna Holloway a call.
Murielle and I met them at the ferry going to Vancouver on 31 May.
They invited me over to a pot-luck supper at their neighbours.
Drew picked me up and after a great meal with their neigbours and friends, they started a fire and made some smores.
What a great night. All of them are bikers so we had lots to talk about.
Drew drove me back to the campsite and invited me to stay at their place on Saturday.

Pierre, Lawrence, Connie, Donna, Drew and Mike

Sylvain, Sylvie, Drew, Donna, Mike and the back of the head is Karen.

A lot of stories were told but I had to promise -
that anything that is said in Canmore - stays in Canmore

Drying up after last night's thunderstorm.

Getting everything packed for the day.
